Barclays online banking hangs in Firefox

The Barclays online banking website was causing Firefox to hang, specifically when accessing the "Statement" part of the site.

I tracked the problem down to two of the addons I use: Adblock Plus and Ghostery. Both of these were blocking some Adobe tracking beacon, which then likely triggered some sort of loop in Barclays' crappy code and hung the browser.

Solution was:

1. Disable Adblock Plus on bank.barclays.co.uk (from Adblock Plus button menu) and
2. Configure Ghostery to always allow Adobe Test & Target beacon on bank.barclays.co.uk (in list of Ghostery’s findings click the round button to the right of the slider for that item)

After this the site appears to be working normally again.
